Access
to the various computer systems shall be intentionally limited
according to the need, nature of work, level of the employee
etc on a case-to-case basis.
System access rights shall be protected in the network systems
and no employee shall make any changes related to access
rights or other rights without intimating the ‘Spice’
team.
The computers, especially laptops, shall not be left unattended
for long periods of time and shall be user locked.
The use of BIOS and “Power On” passwords shall
not be initiated or changed without prior approval from
the ‘Spice’ team and the concerned Department
Head.
Employees shall not remove or disable any software that
are used for the regular work and / or any anti-virus or
system specific software without intimating the ‘Tech’
team. Any anti virus found in any system by any employee(s)
shall be intimated immediately to the ‘Spice’
team.
Usage of Personal Computers on the Company’s network
or Floppy Disks or CDs shall not be allowed unless permission
to the contrary is obtained from the Company.
Any employee noticing a computer crime like theft of
computer supplies / software, theft or damage of computer
hardware, fraudulent transfer of assets, unauthorized
use of computers / data files, willful distribution of
computer “viruses”, copyright infringement
etc are expected to report the same to the ‘Spice’
team and every report under such situations shall be handled
in a confidential manner.
